Every summer I gather up my two boys, our tent and sleeping bags and spend a few days camping with our wonderful friends. This year was spent relaxing, cooking, hiking, and fishing while the kids played cribbage and ran around in the woods. It was a memorable few days and I couldn’t ask for better people to spend them with.
Until next year!
There is nothing quite like the week I spend with my extended family up north each year. My kids excitedly count the days till we leave while I dream of our upcoming days on the lake together. There are no schedules to follow, nowhere to rush off to, and the most difficult decision we have to make is “should we cook or go out for dinner tonight?” Most of the time we are in or beside the water relaxing while the kids are tubing and playing around. We drink more beers and eat more cheese curds than we should, play games, but mostly just enjoy each others company. There is more love packed into that cabin than I can comprehend sometimes. I always tell my kids how lucky and blessed we are to have a family like ours and from the way the feel about this week together I know they understand.
…had coffee on my porch with a friend. I am so lucky and thankful for the ladies in my life.
